Yet another wonderful stay for the two of us and our two best friends – welcome just as genuine as the first time we went – rooms just lovely with the best views in the valley – food fabulous – wine tasting experience thrown in even though the four of us don’t drink it was still really interesting and felt part of the group – if you want somewhere special – this is the place.- Lyn S, Lothersdale
This was our first visit to the Lake District and we wanted a Luxury hotel to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary so chose this luxury hotel and from the moment we arrived to the day we left we were made so welcome by the hosts Gary and Donna Macrae the room we had was fantastic and the food both for Breakfast and dinner was out of this world and the wine selection was excellent would recommend this hotel to friends and other people who love good food and wine.- Mr & Mrs Portwain
