I can only agree with the glowing reviews of previous visitors. This place is luxurious without being pretentious, comfortable and friendly, yet with superb quality cuisine. We stayed for a couple of nights during ‘storm Diana’ and couldn’t have been anywhere more cosy to hide away with a log fire blazing in the hearth. Definitely worth a return visit!- Val W, Wokingham
We booked to stay at Hazelbank for two nights but the hotel and food were so nice, we stayed for an extra night. The hotel is furnished to a very high standard and the owners Gary and Donna could not have made us feel more welcome. We are definitely going back, it is now our favourite hotel in the Lake District.- Gary L, Liverpool
This is the second time we’ve been back, first was just for a meal, this time we stayed over. Gary & Donna are exceptional hosts. The food is some of the best I’ve had, it’s home cooked with fresh locally sourced ingredients. Rooms are very well fitted out and comfortable. Attention to detail is excellent and sets the standard above everyone else. You have to stay here.- Dave W
