Blencathra is a spacious deluxe room with views over the garden to the woodland and Watendlath fells, and is ideal for watching the numerous types of wild life we have here, from red squirrels, pheasants and even deer.

Bowfell is a lovely double room with king-sized bed along with views toward Bessy Boot and Glaramara. It has a huge built in wardrobe, luxurious axminster carpets, and has all the accompaniments you would expect from Hazel Bank.

Situated on the ground floor Castle Crag is a deluxe room with king size double bed or twin and double walk-in limestone tiled ensuite with rain shower, heated floor and heated de-mist mirror and complimentary L’Occitane toiletries.

Named after the mountain in looks on to, this is a well-appointed deluxe room with views over the lawns. It has a king sized four poster bed made from Cumbrian oak and headboard inlaid with Lakeland slate by award winning local cabinet maker Matt Jardine.

Hellvelyn is a superior room with standard double bed; it comes with views over our woodland garden toward Grange Fell and Watendlath and is ideal for watching the Red Squirrels scampering around the feeders.

Full of handmade furniture, a wall mounted flat screen LED TV, iPod/iPhone charger docking clock radio, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary spring water and homemade biscuits.

Every room has breathtaking views of the Borrowdale Valley and is a perfect haven to retire to after a Lakeland walk or a day’s exploring. All our rooms are complimented by ensuite bathrooms with baths and showers, and feature the finest quality L’Occitane toiletries and soaps, along with heated towel rails to ensure those fluffy white towels are always warm.
All our food is individually prepared and cooked by our chef, Earl Aggrey, and the “Lady of the House” Donna MacRae, a local-born lass with years of experience and a true believer in the art of beautifully presented food sourced locally from Cumbria.
No cancellation fee apart from the loss of the deposit will be charged if we manage to re-let your room(s). We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance.
