I’m often on travelling across Europe for business or relaxing. But here I´m still sharing the opinion, normally you should be quiet, to keep this juwel and come back again to get an amazing stay in a hotel with amazing good persons and a pretty nice location, and very very good food. But it would be pity not to say thanks to Gary, Donna , the team and praise them. it is an amazing sweet house, very clean, sweet interiour, lovely and attentive people at the hotel team, and amazing good cook and kitchen. We loved to stay there and hope we will get any time again a slot when we can again book a room.

This was our 11th+ visit since 2014 and yet another wonderful week. As usual a warm welcome, comfortable room, good food and as a bonus Gary had organised dry and sunny Lakeland weather. You think that at 5star standards cannot get better but they do. We have already rebooked for May 2020.

This was our first post-lockdown trip so we were unsure how it would work out. From the moment we were welcomed at the door by Gary we had a ball. We felt safe and so well cared for, everything done with warmth and consideration. Our room was so comfortable with a drop-dead view, our meals totally delicious and the company from the other eight guests very enjoyable. Being able to walk from the door in what, for us, is the best valley in the Lakes made for a perfect few days. Oh, and the Negroni is very special! The personal care given to everything that Donna, Gary and their family do makes Hazel Bank a great treat, at any time.

We cannot speak more highly of this fabulous country house hotel. We were there to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary and it certainly did not disappoint! Our lovely hosts Gary and Donna cannot do enough for their guests and made us feel very special from the moment we arrived. All the rooms are beautifully appointed, immaculately and tastefully furnished. We enjoyed an amazing dinner experience commencing with canapes served in the lounge at 7pm and it just got better and better! There are some fabulous walks from the hotel so you need not move the car. We were very sorry to leave but my waistline needed to recover! Needless to say we have rebooked for July!!

Just can’t say enough good things about this amazing hotel. Clean comfortable and beautiful hotel with a lovely friendly atmosphere very welcoming but it’s the food that sets it apart. Absolutely stunning.

Lovely room with great views over the garden. Immaculately clean. Huge bed which was so comfortable. Didn’t hear any of the other guests so really relaxing. Nice toiletries. Breakfast the following morning was great. A fantastic stay.
